Meet Our Team
Mikayla Young - Office Manager
Mikayla is our office manager and keeps us all on track! She does a little bit of everything from scheduling, insurance, treatment plan coordination and even lends a hand in the clinical area if needed! Mikayla has been working in the dental field for many years beginning as a chairside clinical assistant before transitioning to the front office and then becoming office manager. She says her favorite part of dentistry is the opportunity to build personal relationships with patients. Outside of the office Mikayla enjoys spending time with her husband, Josh, her daughter Marlee. Mikayla also loves listening to true crime podcasts and reading books.
Hannah Ebbert - Patient Scheduling Coordinator
Hannah is one of the friendly faces you will see at our front desk when you come in to visit us. She works hard to maintain our schedule and also to make sure our patients maximize all the benefits that their insurance plans have to offer! Hannah has been working in the dental field for several years beginning as a chairside clinical assistant before transitioning to the front office. She says her favorite part of dentistry is the opportunity to build personal relationships with patients and watching them become confident in their smile!
Jennifer Cruz - Patient Scheduling Coordinator
Jennifer is our scheduling coordinator and is usually the first friendly face you will see when you enter our practice! She has worked in the dental field for several years in Florida before relocating here to middle Tennessee. Jennifer is here to help you find the best time to come and see us and will be ready to help you check in when you arrive. She is also bilingual and can easily assist our Spanish speaking patients. Jennifer has such a sweet and caring personality and is sure to make you feel at ease. Jennifer has one daughter and enjoys spending time with her whenever she can.
Julie Swearingen, RDH - Dental Hygienist
Julie received her degree in dental hygiene from Western Kentucky University and also has a degree in communications from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. For seven years, Julie had her own business working as a fill-in hygienist for various office around middle Tennessee, including our own! She served on the House of Delegates of the Tennessee Dental Hygienists Association and on the board for the Nashville Dental Hygienists Association. In her first career, she was Director of Communications for the Tennessee Bar Association and has provided marketing and public relations services for the banking and mortgage banking industries. She lives on 45 acres with her husband , two daughters, three dogs, a cat, and even a few chickens from time to time. We feel very privileged to have Julie as a part of our team!
Bethany Zuniga, RDH - Dental Hygienist
Bethany is one of our amazing dental hygienists. She is one of the newer members of our team, although definitely not new to dental hygiene! Bethany is loved and highly requested among our patients! She has the gentlest touch when it comes to cleaning teeth, but her sweet personality is equally as gentle and caring. Bethany is married and excited to be welcoming a sweet little baby soon!
Cally Appleby, RDH - Dental Hygienist
Cally is one of our amazing dental hygienists. She began her career in dentistry as a sterilization assistant in a pediatric office and quickly decided she wanted to pursue her degree in dental hygiene. Once she obtained her degree she joined us here at Long Hollow Dental and has been a huge asset to our team! Cally is recently married to her husband Jacob and make their home in Greenbriar. In her free time Cally enjoys antiquing and true crime documentaries!
Sherri Merritt - Registered Dental Hygienist
Sherri is a Registered Dental Hygienist and works part time with our practice. She started her career in dentistry as a chairside assistant before transitioning to the preventative aspect of dental hygiene. Sherri is a ray of light and puts smiles on the faces of her patients in more ways than one! Her soft yet thorough touch and enthusiasm for patient care epitomizes what Long Hollow Dental is all about. In her spare time Sherri enjoys writing, music, cooking and spending time with family and friends.
Melissa Alexander- Expanded Functions Dental Assistant
Melissa is a cherished member of our team, serving as our lead dental assistant. Originally from Northern Kentucky, Melissa received her dental assistant certification in 2009. After practicing for several years, Melissa decided to further her education at the University of Tennessee and obtained certification in expanded functions which allows her to do more advanced skills such as place fillings after the doctor has prepared the tooth. Melissa says her goal is to ensure that each patient in her care feels 100% informed and comfortable during their visit. Outside of the office Melissa enjoys yoga, boating and spending time with her husband Michael and their children Caleigh and Evan.
Pamela Seay- Registered Dental Assistant
Pam is one of our very experienced dental assistants and has been in the dental field since 1990! She is dedicated to excellence and making sure her patients feel at ease in the dental chair. She recently celebrated the birth of her first granddaughter and loves to spend any spare time she can with her! We are very blessed to have Pam as a part of our team!
Zada Brown- Registered Dental Assistant
Zada graduated from the Dental Staff School of Tennessee in 2022 and is already off to an amazing start in her dental career. She is dual trained to work as both a chairside clinical assistant and also as a receptionist in our front office. She is full of smiles and ready to walk alongside you from start to finish when you visit our office. Zada recently got married to her husband, Nelson, and is enjoying life as a newlywed! We are very blessed to have Zada on our team!
Diana Rodriguez - Expanded Functions Dental Assistant

Diana has been with us at Long Hollow Dental for over ten years. She started as a sterile tech and then quickly moved into chairside assisting before furthering her education to obtain her license to perform expanded functions. Diana has such a warm and calming presence that so many of our patients cherish. She is also bilingual which is a huge blessing, allowing our Spanish speaking patients to communicate easily with our clinical team. Diana is married and has two daughters. She also is the president and founder of Agape Mexico, a non-profit ministry providing food, education and spiritual resources for underprivileged children in her home town of Aguascalientes, Mexico.
